We are seeking Prep Cooks to support our Food & Beverage team at Fernie Alpine Resort. Prep Cooks are essential to the success of our kitchen, handling the foundational work that allows service to run smoothly. From chopping vegetables to organizing stations and assisting with simple cooking tasks, you’ll be the backbone that keeps the line moving.

You Will

You Will
- Prepare and portion ingredients (vegetables, meats, sauces, garnishes) for daily service.
- Label, date, and store food items correctly to ensure freshness and food safety.
- Assist Line Cooks with simple cooking and assembly tasks as directed.
- Keep stations stocked, organized, and ready for service.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in prep areas and storage.
- Follow all safe food handling procedures, resort policies, and safety protocols.
- Perform additional duties to support overall kitchen operations.
- Previous kitchen or food preparation experience (preferred but not required).
- Food Safe certification (asset, can be obtained upon hire).
- Basic knife skills and willingness to learn.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
- A positive attitude and ability to work well in a team environment.
- Competitive wage: $17.85-18.50/p hour, dependent on experience
