Design for Impact Volunteer Graphic Designer
The Heather Cutler Foundation is looking for a Volunteer Graphic Designer to help bring our advocacy to life through meaningful, accessible, and eye-catching visuals. Whether it’s social media posts, downloadable resources, or designs for merch and public campaigns, your work will directly support awareness, education, and healthcare reform across Canada.
This is a unique opportunity to design with purpose and join a creative team that believes every graphic can help tell a story, shift a mindset, or inspire action. Join Team Heather and help transform pancreatic cancer awareness into visual advocacy that resonates.
Why Join Us?
The Heather Cutler Foundation was founded after Heather’s journey exposed the gaps in Canada’s healthcare system. Today, we continue that mission with urgency—and visuals play a central role in how we connect, educate, and advocate.
As our Graphic Designer, you won’t just make things “look good”—you’ll help people see what’s really happening and imagine what’s possible. From storytelling to system change, design is advocacy.
Responsibilities
Social Media Graphics
Design visual assets for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and emerging platforms. Adapt content for carousels, reels, stories, and quote cards while maintaining consistent brand identity.
Educational Materials
Design visual resources such as one-pagers, infographics, presentation slides, or reports to explain complex healthcare issues in a visually accessible way.
Campaign Collateral
Support branded visuals for events (e.g., banners, posters, pins), advocacy campaigns, and downloadable PDFs (e.g., molecular profiling explainer sheets).
Website & Blog Graphics
Provide illustrations or header visuals for web content hosted on Ghost CMS and help ensure visual consistency across pages.
Merch & Print Design (Optional)
Contribute to apparel, water bottles, or poster designs that support our fundraising efforts and reflect our aesthetic values.
Qualifications
The Heather Cutler Foundation is a Canadian nonprofit committed to reimagining pancreatic cancer advocacy with urgency, accuracy, and empathy. From systemic policy recommendations to awareness campaigns and community storytelling, we use design to break down barriers, visualize change, and make the invisible visible.
