We are seeking an Associate Product Strategist to mine and analyze data, identify root causes of anomalies, and translate insights into actionable strategies to grow our business. What areas you will be working on: As an Associate Product Strategist, you will:

  • Analyze raw performance, earnings, and diagnostic data to identify trends, anomalies, and actionable insights.
  • Trace anomalies to their root causes and work with engineering and product teams to understand and resolve underlying issues.
  • Connect product performance data to technology potential, identifying opportunities to enhance business growth.
  • Develop performance metrics, dashboards, and visualizations to track business and product performance using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Excel.
  • Assemble and consolidate reports, presentations, and analyses for internal/external stakeholders and clients/partners.
  • Conduct market and competitive research to identify opportunities and understand industry trends.
  • Support proposal development and funding applications with data-driven justifications.
  • Collaborate with sales and product teams to provide financial and operational analysis for strategic decision-making.
  • Stay updated on industry standards, such as OCPP, UL, and IEC, to ensure compliance and alignment with best practices.

Job Requirements

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Financial Engineering, Data Science, Engineering/Engineering Science, or a related field.
  • 4-7 years of experience in data & business analysis, product management, technical program management, continuous improvement engineering (CIE), or a related role.
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to identify and investigate root causes of data anomalies.
  • Proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or Excel).
  • Knowledge of business operation and financial modelling (e.g. ROI, Asset Planning & Management, P&L Analysis)
  • Strong communication skills for presenting information, findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively in a fast-paced & agile environment.
  • Ability to use workflow & information management tools (e.g. Notion, Slack, Gitlab, Wiki)

Preferred Assets

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of predictive modeling techniques and frameworks such as TensorFlow or Python libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy).
  • Experience in the energy storage, EV charging, or clean technology industries.
  • Familiarity with financial modeling and product economics.
  • A valid Ontario “G” Class Driver’s License with no demerit points.
