Summary

The Program Director, Interiors directs the Interior Design and Relocation Services team in the BGIS Direct business unit. Specific responsibilities include but not limited to: supporting the Interior Design/Relocation Program Managers in the development of planning, business strategy, executing product line business strategy, business development, achieving profitability targets, continuous improvement, meeting service delivery obligations and client relationship management.

The Program Director works closely with other product line leads and Account Teams and partners to proactively drive innovation, resolve issues and identify opportunities for growth of the business while focusing on continuous improvement. Creates and supports an integrated delivery model which is seamless to the client – One BGIS.

Provides Business Development for the development and growth for the BGIS Direct Design/Build product line.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

People Leadership

Demonstrates strong, competent leadership for team members to guide them in reaching their full potential and meeting their objectives, which supports achievement of our corporate goals. Specifically, these responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Full involvement with recruiting talent.
  • Provides mentoring, coaching and guidance to all team members.
  • Objectively recommends compensation adjustments.
  • Manages all aspects of performance.


Product Line Strategy

  • Assists with the development and supports the product line business strategy.
  • Executes product line business strategy.


Business Development

  • Participates in the business development strategies and targets.
  • Achieves business development targets.
  • Continuously engages clients in discussions to understand and anticipate needs. Identifies and recommends opportunities for additional businesses.
  • Collaborates with operations teams to identify opportunities for additional businesses.
  • Engages prospective clients for potential business opportunities.
  • Actively attends relevant events in order to establish market presence and contribute to brand awareness. Networks to maintain awareness of potential opportunities.
  • Develops network contacts to foster new business as well as maintain good client relationships for on-going business.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders on business pursuits. Provides subject matter expertise and input for proposals and RFP’s.
  • Participates in presentations for prospective clients.
  • Negotiates scope and/or fee with client when necessary.


Product Development

  • Assists with developing new innovative and integrated offerings and re-packages existing offerings to enhance business development success and to continually deliver value to clients. The integrated offerings may include a number of product lines presented as one client solution.


Business Profitability

  • Responsible for achieving profitability targets through business management excellence and business development.
  • Assists with developing and implementing strategies to ensure optimal business, financial, operations and risk management.
  • Provides input to Finance team, including forecasting, reporting and tracking costs and hours to achieve profitability on projects.


Client Relationship Management

  • Develops and maintains effective relationships with clients. Position level of client representatives with whom this position interacts with include those at the senior management level to executive level.
  • Responsible for resolving issues, managing client expectations, and achieving client satisfaction.


Service Delivery Management

  • Responsible for delivering all client obligations and achieving operational and financial metrics.
  • Ensures the manner in which the work is delivered complies with all internal and external requirements.
  • Effective and proactive communication with stakeholders such as clients, contractors, and industry bodies (as required) to ensure client satisfaction and BGIS’s success; effective facilitation of the resolution of escalated issues and challenges that include stakeholders.


Continuous Improvement

  • Identifies or develops and implements process, tools and technologies to innovate and improve service delivery.
  • Develops strategies to achieve greater business operational effectiveness.
  • Identifies and implements efficiencies between product lines under the BGIS Direct banner.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Knowledge & Skills

  • University degree preferably in business administration with 10+ years or relevant experience.
  • Exceptionally-skilled at managing businesses along with significant related experience and exceptional business acumen.
  • Well-developed financial management abilities along with advanced financial acumen.
  • Highly skilled service delivery management abilities with proven record in achieving service delivery objectives and meeting client obligations.
  • Highly skilled at communicating with, negotiating, influencing and persuading others to achieve desired outcomes including individuals at the executive level.
  • Highly skilled at building relationships with client representatives at the senior management to executive level along with related experience.
  • Exceptional client service orientation.
  • Highly skilled at leading, engaging, motivating, managing, developing, attracting and retaining individuals.
  • Highly skilled at managing vendor performance.
  • Possesses a continuous improvement and quality mindset along with a very high desire to continuously seek and incorporate innovative practices.
  • Highly skilled at managing communication to satisfy the needs of and resolve issues with stakeholders.
  • Highly skilled at managing conflict and gaining stakeholder trust to foster good relations.
  • Highly skilled at adapting to new, different or changing requirements, quickly grasps new concepts, adapts and reflects on lessons learned. A very high degree of comfort with ambiguity. Exceptionally adept at analyzing, evaluating and defining problems and challenges, identifying alternatives and making timely decisions.
  • Exhibits a very high degree of comfort and maintains composure with audiences at all levels including those at the executive management position level. Adept at tailoring communication style and delivery to different audiences and using effective listening skills to gain clarification from others.
  • Possesses a ‘Yes..and’ attitude and growth mindset.
