Trolley is growing quickly and we are hiring for a full time Merchant Onboarding Specialist to join our Sales team reporting to the Sales Manager.

The Merchant Onboarding Specialist is responsible for managing the onboarding process of new merchants onto our platform by coordinating a seamless and accelerated merchant application and approval process for our customers. The chosen person will serve as a liaison between our new merchants and our processing partners to support new merchant account approvals. This role also involves liaising with merchants and our internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding of new merchants onto our payments platform.

The role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as attention to detail. You will work directly with new customers and our processing partners.

In your role you will:

  • Communicate with new merchants who have signed an agreement with our sales team.
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as Compliance, Sales and Customer Success to ensure all necessary documents and information are collected ahead of submitting an application to our partners.
  • Ensure all compliance and regulatory requirements are met throughout the onboarding process.
  • Manage the onboarding process with the Customer Success team and provide regular updates to the merchants on the status of their application.
  • Conduct quality control checks on merchant data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the onboarding process.
  • Work with our internal Compliance team and processing partners to optimize and improve our merchant onboarding experience.

About you:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role in the Financial or Fintech industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of the industry, including relevant regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex compliance and regulatory concepts to stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with merchant onboarding and KYC/AML procedures is nice to have.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
