The successful candidate will lead the delivery of critical safety and equipment training programs, directly supporting workforce readiness and operational excellence across multiple sites.

The Role
As the Health and Safety Trainer, you’ll play a key role in developing, delivering, and overseeing safety training programs, onboarding new team members, maintaining critical equipment certifications, and ensuring compliance with applicable standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and delivery of site-wide safety training and equipment certification programs.
- Facilitate classroom-style and hands-on training sessions for a variety of heavy equipment, including cranes, forklifts, skid steers, and payloaders.
- Supervise onboarding classes and ensure a safe learning environment aligned with all health and safety protocols.
- Maintain compliance with relevant standards and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate and conduct coaching sessions and refresher certifications to ensure ongoing safety competency.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee orientations and new hire integration.
- Post-secondary education related to Occupational Health and Safety OR a minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience.
- Experience developing and delivering learning programs.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly instruct and engage with diverse learners.
- Comfortable leading training groups of up to 20 participants.
