As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for ensuring that all products you machine meet the precise specifications of our customers while maintaining a focus on safety and efficiency. What You’ll Get To Do
- Study drawings and specifications to determine dimensions, tolerances, and the sequence of machining operations using knowledge of shop mathematics, metal properties, and the methodology and procedures of machining.
- Verify conformance of the detail to specifications by using measuring instruments such as scales, calipers, micrometres, Vernier, and fixed gauges.
- Recognize the functions of the specific controller capabilities program parameters to load, evaluate and run a specific program.
- Input additions, deletions and changes to the machining program as instructed by the CAM department.
- Decide and ensure assigned functions can be completed on specific machines.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of proven experience in machining.
- Qualifications:
- Completed high school diploma or equivalent.
- Completed apprentice program and certification in the trade would be a bonus.
- Experience and training in the use of cranes, slings, and hoists.
- Skills: Ability to read and understand blueprints with attention to detail and basic understanding of GD&T.
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
