SCOPE:


Are you a strategic-minded Business Analyst ready to make a meaningful impact in a fast-growing, innovation-driven city? The City of Surrey is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join our team and help shape the future of service delivery for one of Canada’s most dynamic municipalities.

In this senior role, you will work closely with leaders and cross-functional teams to drive enterprise transformation initiatives, influence business strategy, and deliver high-value solutions across a diverse portfolio. Acting as a trusted advisor and bridge between business and technology, you will play a key role in aligning operations with organizational goals, improving performance, and supporting the evolving needs of our community.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


As a senior member of the Business Transformation team, you will:


  • Lead the analysis and definition of business needs, objectives, and success criteria using research, stakeholder input, and process insight.
  • Facilitate complex problem-solving by developing integrated process models, producing high-quality business requirements, and assessing solution alternatives.
  • Guide stakeholders through collaborative decision-making—balancing technical possibilities, business goals, and user impact.
  • Influence and support change across departments, championing communication, consensus-building, and alignment on priorities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Candidates under consideration will possess the following qualifications:


  • Degree in a related field from a recognized institution plus four (4) years of related work experience or an acceptable equivalent combination of training and experience.


Preferred Assets include:

  • CBAP certification.
  • Experience within the public sector.
  • Experience working with Continuous Improvement methodologies.
  • Experience working with Agile Principles.
