You help implement the operational excellence program in a specific function and/or for cross-functional continuous improvement (CI) projects. You are not only responsible for applying CI tools and techniques for problem solving and performance improvement but more importantly, you help employees improve their CI skills and build their self-sufficiency.

How You Will Contribute

You will:

  • Provide training on CI tools and techniques to help drive teams through CI cycles. You will also coach employees to help them achieve their targets
  • Identify process improvement needs with department leads, facilitate sessions and support execution of newly established improvements
  • Once improvements are done, validate outcome benefits and support creation of new standards and qualification of members into new working processes
  • Benchmark externally, ensuring where relevant that best practice and new tools are deployed in collaboration with internal partners

IL6S (Integrated Lean Six Sigma) is the Operational excellence program globally deployed in Mondelez International. It is an approach to business management that emphasizes continuous improvement across all aspects of the business and within all business processes by creating a culture where management and employees are invested in business outcomes and empowered to implement change. Operational excellence is a way for organizations to create a roadmap toward continuous improvement in a complex business environment. Its goal is to give companies a competitive advantage.

The role helps build IL6S progression for our manufacturing sites, and involves significant capability building/ upskilling of colleagues within the North America region which includes US, Canada and Mexico Supply chain organizations.

Key responsibilities of the role:

  • Lead the IL6S program development and implementation at Mondelez Supply Chain (MSC) including ownership for direction and adjustments needed to accelerate on our priorities.
  • Develop IL6S Operational Excellence Roadmap in partnership with Senior Leadership team in alignment to functional roadmaps.
  • Lead E2E value chain loss analyses for sponsored initiatives and train/mentor region end-to-end resources to support region category initiatives to improve Revenue, product margin, cash-flow and growth improvement plus identify opportunities for growth.
  • Lead implementation of Future Organization Model (Factory of the Future) to build capability in the organization (Manufacturing operations) and identifying Low-cost Automation as way to improve cost performance, ability to identify NA Venture activities and to lead organization to reach High Performance Organization status.
  • Build capability through training, coaching, performance evaluations, and talent acquisition. Drive Asset Reliability improvement to achieve high level of performance, reliability and utilization.


Qualification and Experience needed:

  • MS degree in relevant technical topic.
  • 8+ years plus experience in production environment.
  • 8+ years' experience in development and implementation of industrial management systems focused on loss reduction: TPM, Lean Manufacturing, 6 sigma e High Performance Organizations
  • Demonstrated acumen in business and finance.
  • Track record of successful employee engagement initiatives.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing and supply chain processes.


Skills

  • Demonstrated strong leadership skills, ability to effectively communicate, influence, manage change.
  • The capability to influence key stakeholders including senior leadership.
  • Must have the capacity to operate independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Demonstrated success in a lead role in a high-growth organization and in providing strategic insight for organization-wide deployment plans is a plus.
  • Strategic assessment capabilities as well as a vision for developing and leading IL6S across the MSC.
  • Thorough understanding of process improvement methodologies and tools – both in applying “hands-on” with work groups and teams; as well as ability to train/coach others in their application.
