About The Role
The DSX Portfolio Business Analyst plays a key role in enabling and advancing the transformation of digital student services across the DSX portfolio. This role supports the delivery and optimization of DSX features—particularly in admissions, enrolment, and student services—while collaborating with stakeholders to identify and shape future use cases aligned with strategic priorities.
This is an initial six-month contract, with a possibility of extension.
Key Responsibilities
Requirements Gathering: Elicit, document, and analyze business requirements; collaborate across streams to refine portfolio needs.
Business Process Analysis: Assess current workflows; document current vs. future state; identify and recommend improvements.
Documentation & Backlog Management: Prepare specifications, process models, epics, features, and user stories for actionable delivery.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships to ensure alignment of initiatives across all DSX streams.
Solution Assessment: Evaluate proposed solutions for alignment with objectives and seamless student experience.
Gap & Feasibility Analysis: Identify process gaps; conduct feasibility studies in partnership with technical teams.
Change Management: Support adoption of new digital solutions and process enhancements.
Business Case Development: Contribute to portfolio- and team-level business cases that guide prioritization of initiatives.
Education & Certifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Graduate degree is an asset
Professional certifications (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) are an asset

Requirements
- 5+ years of business analysis experience, ideally in IT, digital transformation, or higher education
- Knowledge of CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) in student lifecycle management contexts
- Strong analytical skills with ability to optimize complex business processes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for diverse stakeholders
- Skilled in documenting requirements, use cases, and business processes
- Proven relationship-building and collaboration abilities
- Proactive problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Experience in enterprise environments, public sector, or higher education
- Familiarity with Agile delivery and Azure DevOps (backlog management, sprint planning, outcomes)
- Strong teamwork skills for working with cross-functional teams and vendors
