About The Role

As a member of the leadership team, the Service Manager will oversee the service team and manage a national network of service partners, with emphasis on delivering service excellence, optimizing workflow efficiency, and supporting business growth. The ideal candidate will possess extensive technical knowledge in UPS, power systems, or related technologies, along with proven leadership skills and a successful record of growing revenue. This new position presents an excellent opportunity for a seasoned manager who is also a technical expert with entrepreneurial vision and innovative thinking, dedicated to advancing the service segment and strategically positioning the department as a significant contributor to the company's overall success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of service technicians, including dispatching, coaching and performance management.
  • Identify opportunities and implement processes to improve efficiency, responsiveness, and profitability.
  • Manage service contracts and their renewals.
  • Work closely with the sales department to support service contracts, warranties, and project installations.
  • Develop opportunities to expand recurring service revenue.
  • Manage and develop a strong partner network national-wide.
  • Coordinate partner training and adherence to company service standards.
  • Handle escalated customer issues.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering Services Coordinator on quote preparation and scheduling service visits.
  • Oversee safety, quality and compliance in all service activities.

Desired Qualification & Experience

  • Electrical Engineering degree, Engineering Technologist certification, or Journeyman Electrician certification.
  • Proven leadership experience with managing operations, teams, and third-party service providers.
  • Experience with managing service contracts and customer account support.
  • Exceptional communication and customer relationship skills.
  • Collaborative, entrepreneurial mindset with strong accountability and drive for results.
  • Proficiency with using computers (MS Office, CRM).
