Summary Of Duties
- Evaluates, develops, implements and re-evaluates treatment programs for clients with musculoskeletal and related disorders in the hospital programs
- Assesses, plans, implements, monitors and evaluates interventions for transitional care clients (i.e. ALC population)
- Collaborates with the treatment team toward discharge planning
- Educates clients and their families, hospital staff and the community regarding musculoskeletal disorders and preventative healthcare
- Directs the daily activities of Physiotherapy/Occupational Therapy Assistants, students/interns in the department, as required
- Team oriented, progressive clinical environment
- Manageable client/staff ratio
- Acute Inpatient, Transitional Care, Short-Term Rehabilitation and Outpatient services
- Membership on the interdisciplinary team
- Clinical Research
- Planning evaluation of clinical and educational programs
- Clinical education for students and interns
- Continuing education and professional development
- MScPT, BScPT or Alliance - approved equivalency required
- Must be Registered with Ontario College of Physiotherapists
- Membership with Canadian Physiotherapy Association is desirable
- Previous experience in the areas of musculoskeletal and geriatric rehabilitation
