The Global Finance – Platform Engineering Team plays critical role in architectural design, installation, configuration and support of Finance & Reporting applications.

The Senior Platform Specialist will be responsible for providing platform and application support for complex systems such as OBIEE, E-Business Suite, OFSAA, and PeopleSoft. This role will also contribute to modernization efforts including containerization, automation, cloud migration, and orchestration integration.

We are seeking a highly skilled and automation-driven Senior Platform Specialist to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will bring over 9 years of experience in managing enterprise middleware environments, with deep expertise in Oracle WebLogic, Apache HTTP Server, and cloud-native technologies. This role is critical to ensuring secure, scalable, and high-availability operations across both cloud and on-premises platforms.

In This Role You Will

  • Lead platform support and delivery for Oracle Application stack components including WebLogic, Apache HTTP Server, and OBIEE.
  • Perform application upgrades, patching, and performance tuning across multiple environments.
  • Support containerization initiatives for OBIEE and PeopleSoft, including Docker/Podman setup and Kubernetes orchestration.
  • Collaborate with cloud teams to enable scalable deployments on platforms like Google Cloud and Azure.
  • Provide technical guidance on ETL tools such as DataStage, Talend, and Kafka for integration and data flow optimization.
  • Assist in building automated deployment pipelines and DevOps workflows for platform services.
  • Support business agility by enabling dynamic environment provisioning and resource optimization.
  • Contribute to compliance and security patching cycles, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide production and UAT support, troubleshooting complex issues and implementing sustainable solutions.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?

  • 7+ years of experience managing Oracle application platform components, including middleware technologies such as WebLogic, Apache HTTP Server, and related infrastructure services.
  • 1–2 years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerization of enterprise applications.
  • 1–2 years of experience with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud or Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience with ETL tools like DataStage, Talend, or Kafka.
  • Nice to have exposure to Power BI for reporting and visualization.
  • Nice to have familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform and configuration management tools such as Ansible.
  • Strong scripting skills in Python, Shell Script or Java for automation and integration.
  • Proven ability to manage upgrade cycles, patching schedules, and performance tuning.
  • Experience supporting high-availability configurations and scalable architecture.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
