Launchpad for Brilliant Builders

About the Program

We're on a mission to hire a handful of engineers who want more than just a job, they want a launchpad!

This is a six-month, paid fellowship program designed for passionate and talented individuals who are actively tinkering with AI and Large Language Models (LLMs). We're looking for people who want to dive in headfirst and "hack away" at some of the biggest and most interesting challenges in the automotive industry.

No GPA cutoffs. No Ivy League requirement. Just show us what you've built. If you've hacked together an AI project on your own time, we want to see it. This is your shot to join a fellowship where you'll be paid well, mentored by experienced engineers, and given the chance to compete for big prizes while launching your career in automotive AI.

Focus Areas

  • Agentic Proficiency: Mastery of the latest AI tools and frameworks to build, test, and deploy effective agents.
  • Data Dominance: Relentless focus on improving data quality, integrity, and accessibility to unlock the full potential of AI.
  • The Primacy of Data: High-quality data is the fuel for all generative AI. You'll work directly with real-world automotive datasets to push the boundaries of what's possible.

Program Structure

  • Program Director: Oversees the cohort, sets briefs, and manages logistics.
  • Mentors: Mid-senior engineers as well as senior leadership to guide your growth.

What You'll Do

  • Build and implement product workflows: Design and implement end-to-end AI-powered product workflows, integrating various models and services to create seamless and intelligent user experiences.
  • Use and Contribute to the AI/ML pipeline: Assist in the development and maintenance of robust data pipelines and model serving infrastructure, with a focus on data for fine-tuning or grounding LLMs and RAG systems.
  • Debug and optimize: Help identify and resolve issues in our ML systems and services, focusing on performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Participate in code reviews: Provide and receive constructive feedback in code reviews to ensure high-quality, maintainable code.
  • Learn and grow: Actively seek mentorship and guidance from senior team members and stay up-to-date with the latest trends in software engineering, cloud, and AI/ML.

What We're Looking For

You're the kind of person who spends their free time exploring new models and building cool things. While we offer competitive pay, we're looking for people who are driven by the work itself and the challenge of solving complex problems.

  • Drive: hunger to learn and build.
  • Decency: integrity and collaboration.
  • Proof: show us an AI-based project you've built on your own. If you've got the initiative to build for fun, you've got the initiative to lead the future.

What You'll Get

  • A $75,000 starting salary and a full benefits package during the fellowship (benefits for US only).
  • Potential to fast-track promotions into engineering/product roles within 6–12 months.
  • Mentorship from top engineers.
  • A SHOT at launching your career in AI.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Foundational knowledge of core software engineering principles, including data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.
  • Strong experience with Python and frameworks like FastAPI, Pydantic, Poetry, SQLAlchemy, Scipy, pandas, etc and a solid understanding of core Natural Language Processing (NLP) concepts.
  • Exposure to LLM concepts, including embeddings, tokenization, and vector databases, with hands-on experience in Prompt Engineering.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with LLM agents and frameworks, such as LangChain or LlamaIndex.
  • Experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems.
  • Familiarity with Computer Vision or Reinforcement Learning concepts and frameworks.
  • Prior experience with
