The impact you'll make:
Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain Planning (temporary), the Demand Planner is responsible for creating and maintaining the Demand Plan and sales forecast as part of Saje monthly process. The activities include maintaining a monthly/weekly forecast by building assumptions from historical sales performance, marketing plans, product plans and go-to-market plans.
All Saje Team Members are responsible for contributing to Saje’s culture and maintaining a positive environment for themselves and their peers.

The compensation range on average for this position is from $65,000 - $75,000 annually. Base pay is dependent on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity.

What you'll do:
- Proactively collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Marketing, Channels and Finance) to create a demand plan month for the categories as assigned
- Continuously maintain an accurate short and long term, up to 18 months rolling forecasts for all New, Active, Limited Edition and Pending Discontinuation SKUs, across our multiple selling regions and channels in units and dollars
- Participate in the companies S&OP process by presenting to cross functional teams twice per month driving consensus; following up on outcomes where required
- Analyze internal and external factors influencing demand patterns (Marketing plans efficiency, promotions, special events, etc.)
- Work with cross-functional partners to determine forecasts for new product launches
- Create/Maintain/Improve dashboards and metrics related to Demand Planning
- Provide accurate long-range forecasts to partners within Operations to plan activities such as inventory balancing, store replenishments and sharing forecasts with key vendors and co-manufacturers
- Collaborate with the FP&A team to build demand driven sales plans
- As required, support FP&A team to develop and prepare annual and quarterly budgets
- Inform product strategy decisions by providing timely and accurate product analysis with historical sales data, missed sales opportunities, demand drivers to support Marketing campaigns & activations, product markdown and promotion strategies, and channel allocation strategies
- Continuously work to improve demand planning processes, tools and communication with cross-functional partners
- Support other Supply team or Operations team members as required
- 1-3 years working in Demand Planning or forecasting experience in a Retail environment considered an asset
- Minimum bachelor's degree or Diploma in business, mathematics, economics, supply chain, operations, engineering or relevant discipline
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and manipulating large data sets, experience with forecasting tools and ERP systems (knowledge of advanced planning systems would be an asset)
- Proficiency in statistics, forecasting/forecasting methods with an ability to interpret data with a high degree of detail
- Ability to learn fast, apply critical thinking, analyze data and solve practical problems
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, dealing with a variety of challenging situations while maintaining focus and a high degree of accuracy
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, time management, and follow-up skills
- Team player who works productively with a wide range of people in cross functional teams
- Excellent written, presentation, and verbal communication skills
- Self-starter and keen to take on new opportunities and challenges, with a passion to continue to develop and grow oneself
