Your impact

As the Project Manager, and Overall Responsible Operator, you’ll be responsible for the management and leadership of a contract operations project, including profit and loss, permit compliance, safety, quality, working with regulatory agencies, and employee supervision and management including staffing, compensation, training and development.

Working with other members of our team and the client you’ll build and maintain positive business and customer relationships, and lead the planning, organization, operations, maintenance and improvement of the facilities. You’ll also participate in business development pursuits as well as project start-ups.

Here's what you'll need

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Class 3 Water Treatment, Class 3 Distribution, Class 2 Wastewater Licenses, or ability to obtain through reciprocity within 6 months
  • Advanced experience in the operation and maintenance of water and wastewater facilities
  • Experience managing projects of similar scope and size. Demonstrated ability to lead (coach and supervise) project teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and foster strong client relationships
  • Proficient in performing all technical requirements associated with water and wastewater treatment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, data management systems and able to operate plant VFD’s, PLC’s and SCADA systems
  • Valid driver’s license with no major infractions


Ideally, You’ll Also Have

  • Associates or College degree
  • Capablity of working independently and maintaining an orderly schedule
  • Demonstrated interpersonal relations and personnel management skills
  • Ability to build and foster strong collaborative client relationships
  • Experience working with clients directly
  • Strong business acumen, including demonstrated ability to manage budgets
  • Experience in utilizing CMMS Programs for preventive and corrective maintenance
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and motivate teams and to respond to emergency situations
  • Experience in compliance monitoring and reporting.


Posted Salary Range Minimum

71,900.00

Posted Salary Range Upper

100,000.00

The base salary range for this position is $71,900.00 to $100,000.00. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across British Columbia, Canada locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Onsite employees are expected to attend a Jacobs Workplace on a full-time basis, as required by the nature of their role.
