Sunnybrook is seeking a visionary Director of Marketed Services to spearhead growth across our revenue-generating programs and play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional patient care. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Corporate Strategy and Development, this senior leadership position oversees programs spanning all three Sunnybrook campuses: Bayview, Holland Orthopaedic and Arthritic Centre, and St. John’s Rehab.
About The Role
As the Director, you will craft and implement strategic, forward-thinking plans in a rapidly evolving healthcare environment to drive growth and innovation across diverse clinical services, including assessments, surgical services, rehabilitation, treatment, and custom device manufacturing. Leading a talented team of management professionals, you will foster strategic partnerships, manage multi-million-dollar budgets, and cultivate a culture grounded in clinical excellence, education, and research.
Key Responsibilities
You will oversee an operating budget of approximately $20 million and lead a dedicated leadership team responsible for approximately 80 staff, including Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Registered Psychotherapists, Social Workers, Chiropodists, Registered Massage Therapists, OTAs/PTAs, Prosthetists, Pedorthists, and contracted health professionals such as Physicians, Podiatrists, Psychologists, and Chiropractors. Success in this role requires strong expertise in collective bargaining, a deep understanding of HR policies, and exceptional emotional intelligence to manage complex personnel dynamics with diplomacy and empathy.

Key Responsibilities
- Revenue Growth: Lead initiatives to maximize clinical revenue streams beyond Ministry funding.
- Change Leadership: Champion organizational change to enhance efficiency, adaptability, and program effectiveness.
- Patient-Centered Excellence: Promote an environment focused on outstanding patient care and operational excellence.
- Resource Optimization: Ensure the optimal allocation of human and material resources within fiscal frameworks.
- Business Development & External Relations: Identify and pursue new opportunities, acting as Sunnybrook’s ambassador to key external funders.
- Risk & Opportunity Oversight: Provide strategic insight on departmental risks and growth opportunities at the Board level.
- Multi-Campus Leadership: Oversee operations and strategic growth across three hospital campuses.
- Competitive Strategy: Navigate and excel within a competitive healthcare marketplace through innovative business development.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build consensus among diverse internal and external stakeholders to support shared goals.
- Regulatory Compliance: Maintain expert knowledge of relevant legislation and policies affecting healthcare delivery and funding.

Qualifications
- Registration with a professional College in Ontario (Regulated Health Profession) is preferred
- Master’s degree in Business, Health Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years management experience in complex healthcare program leadership
- Proven track record in business development and revenue generation within a hospital setting
- Advanced skills in leadership, mentoring, change management, conflict resolution, and communication
- In-depth knowledge of WSIB, insurance legislation, and third-party assessment and treatment practices
