About this opportunity:
We are looking for students who are currently in their 3 rd , 4 th year or Graduate studies of Geophysics for a summer work term in our Calgary office. The summer student term will commence in May 2026 and last for a four-month period. The successful candidates must currently reside in or be willing to relocate to the Calgary area for the four-month term. This position is based in-person, in our downtown Calgary office.
What you’ll be doing:
As a Geophysics Summer Student, you will support our geophysics team in exploration and development projects with a strong focus on seismic interpretation, quantitative analysis and/or microseismic analysis. You will work closely with a senior geophysicist, who will act as your mentor, to guide you through your assigned project.
This position will provide you with an opportunity to leverage your skills in support of a nimble, Canadian-based energy company. You will receive on-the-job experience, coaching and training and work in a collaborative learning environment.

What you’ll be doing:
As a Geophysics Summer Student, you will support our geophysics team in exploration and development projects with a strong focus on seismic interpretation, quantitative analysis and/or microseismic analysis. - Assist with seismic interpretation for exploration and/or development projects.
- Support quantitative interpretation (QI) workflows, including rock physics and AVO analysis.
- Review and analyze microseismic data to support completion and reservoir studies.
- Integrate geophysical results with geological, petrophysical, and engineering data.
- Prepare presentations for internal meetings and present your project findings to senior management at the end of the term.
- Currently enrolled in your 3 rd , 4 th year, or Graduate studies in Geophysics (Master’s or PhD).
- Able to work effectively in a team environment.
- Value feedback as a learning tool.
- Motivated, hard-working and determined to achieve superior results.
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Confident in written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with geophysical software (e.g., Petrel, Seisware, RokDoc, or similar) is an asset.
- You are currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution
- You are available to work the full duration of the outlined work term
- You are legally entitled to work in Canada without restriction, by way of one of the following:
- Canadian Citizenship
- Permanent Residency
- Valid work permit
