The ERP Functional Analyst – Supply Chain plays a critical role within the IT Enterprise Applications team by bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions in the D365 Finance & Operations (F&O) platform. This role partners closely with Supply Chain and Merch stakeholders (e.g., Inventory Management, Master Planning, Production Control, Warehouse Management, and Transportation Management) to design, implement, and support solutions that align with business processes, compliance standards, and enterprise IT architecture.
As a senior member of the team, the analyst leads functional and technical assessments, drives solution delivery, and acts as a subject matter expert (SME) on D365 F&O Finance modules. The ideal candidate brings a strong blend of supply chain domain knowledge, hands-on configuration experience, technical acumen, and collaboration skills to deliver scalable and sustainable technology solutions in a highly regulated and structured enterprise environment.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Lead requirements gathering sessions with Supply Chain + Merch and cross-functional stakeholders to understand business processes and pain points.
- Translate business needs into functional specifications, process flows, and D365 solution designs.
- Conduct fit-gap analysis, documenting current and future state processes with a focus on maximizing D365 F&O standard functionality.
- Advise business users on best practices and standard features available in the Supply Chain modules of D365 F&O (e.g., Inventory Management, Master Planning, Production Control, Warehouse Management, and Transportation Management).
- Lead the functional configuration of D365 F&O Supply Chain modules, including setups, workflows, approval hierarchies, and financial dimensions.
- Collaborate with development teams to design, test, and deploy customizations, integrations, and extensions as required.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, solution design reviews, and technical workshops with internal and external teams.
- Define and work on end-to-end test plans (SIT, UAT) in coordination with QA teams and business users.
- Validate integrations with 3rd-party systems (e.g., banking platforms, tax engines, reporting tools).
- Support data migration and validation efforts during releases, cutovers, and environment refreshes.
- Act as a Tier 2/3 escalation point for D365 F&O Supply Chain-related incidents and service requests.
- Analyze recurring issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement permanent fixes.
- Identify and recommend opportunities to automate and improve financial workflows and reporting.
- Partner with Supply Chain leaders, internal audit, and compliance teams to ensure solutions meet internal controls, regulatory, and SOX requirements.
- Maintain clear documentation of configurations, functional specs, test cases, and support procedures.
- Collaborate with enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, and data governance teams to ensure platform alignment.
- Mentor junior analysts and business users through knowledge-sharing sessions and documentation.
- Create and deliver training materials and job aids related to D365 Supply Chain processes and changes.
- Other duties as required.
- Occasional travel may be needed for workshops, training, or go-lives.
- 6–9 years of experience as a techno-functional analyst or consultant working with ERP platforms, with a strong focus on D365 Finance & Operations (F&O).
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Supply Chain, Business Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Deep understanding of financial processes (GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Budgeting, Procurement, Project Accounting).
- Hands-on experience configuring and supporting D365 F&O Supply Chain modules.
- Experience working with system integrators, third-party vendors, and cross-functional delivery teams.
- Familiarity with reporting and analytics tools such as Power BI, Management Reporter, or other financial reporting tools.
- Exposure to Azure DevOps, Lifecycle Services (LCS), and Supply Chain data entities.
- Knowledge of financial compliance requirements including SOX, audit controls, and segregation of duties (SoD).
- Experience working in Agile and hybrid delivery models.
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 certifications (Supply Chain Functional Consultant Associate or similar) are a strong asset.
