Implementation Team Lead

JANA is focused on improving the integrity of gas pipeline systems through the application of advanced risk modeling technologies. JANA’s Team Leads play a pivotal role in technically supporting the Operations team that is responsible for implementing JANA’s technical solutions. A single-threaded, experienced technical leader, JANA’s Team Lead is responsible for guiding and mentoring a team of developers, engineers, or technical specialists, ensuring high-quality project delivery, and maintaining best practices. Team Leads are JANA’s culture and mentors the team on technical efficiency.

Team Leads are excited by technical mentorship, problem-solving, and technology. This role involves managing project timelines, coordinating tasks, and providing hands-on technical expertise to solve complex problems. The Technical Team Lead collaborates with cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with business goals, conducts reviews, ensures adherence to standards, and fosters a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team. Strong leadership, communication, and technical skills are essential for this position.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of developers/engineers, fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Support Project Managers with planning and managing project timelines, resources, and deliverables in coordination with stakeholders.
• Provide hands-on technical guidance, problem-solving support, and conduct code reviews.
• Ensure adherence to best practices in software development, architecture, and design.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business and technical requirements.
• Continuously assess and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and quality.
• Supports team members in meeting individual goals and provides feedback for the Manager in assessments of goals, performance and development
• Supports the growth of a strong team by fostering day-to-day working relationships with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment
• Maintains and helps to lead a culture of exceptional client care, team synergy, learning, and growth
• Inspires the JANA team in a positive, high-performance way, demonstrating a passion for our Culture, our People, and our Mission
• Technically supports the development and deployment of JANA’s programs or systems, and contributes to troubleshooting efforts
  
  

Required Skills & Experience

• Undergraduate degree in a STEM field, preferably in Engineering
• 2+ years experience in the risk integrity assessment environment
• 2+ years experience in MS SQL Server or another RDBMS like Oracle, DB2, Teradata, etc.
• 2+ years experience in pipeline operations or risk management knowledge
• Experience with Python for data analysis, automation and reporting
• Experience with advanced data analysis, mathematical, and statistical techniques 
• Experience in a client-facing role, preferably in software implementation 
• Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management
• Understanding of project management techniques and methods
• Exceptional verbal, written and presentation skills 
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team 
• Must be able to travel in the US and Canada up to 20% of the time
