Position Summary
As a Senior Product Manager in Bentley Systems' Open Applications group, you will be part of a dedicated team of Product Managers at the forefront of evolving our design and engineering software and services with a focus on developing and monetizing AI capabilities. Your role is crucial in enhancing the productivity of users of our software through the integration of cutting-edge technology, digital twin capabilities, and improving the overall user experience. You will have a pivotal role in defining the AI strategy and roadmap, defining business cases and monetization schemes for AI solutions, and ensuring sound AI-human collaboration in workflows that require human signoffs. You will be required to actively collaborate within and beyond the Open Applications team, including infrastructure cloud, platform, UX, and development teams.
Success in this role means driving AI adoption, listening to users’ needs and worries about AI, leading cross-functional teams to develop and deliver innovative features that meet the needs of our users, and making sure their data and IP are safeguarded.
In terms of impact, your work will enhance the product's value, accelerate and automate existing workflows, help develop AI that can spot and reduce human errors, and improve user experiences. As an Applied AI PM, your work will have a significant impact across all product lines, and you will be tasked with helping replicate successes across the company’s portfolio. You will influence the future of infrastructure design and management products, reinforcing Bentley’s leadership in digital twins.
We are seeking an individual with extensive experience in managing software products and a proven track record of developing and implementing effective strategies. We require someone who is excited by new technologies and is knowledgeable about AI, especially about generative AI, copilots and assistants, LLMs and LLM evaluation (LLMOps), Model Context Protocol (MCP), and agent-to-agent communication in multi-agent workflows. Your role requires finding a balance between strategic planning and agile iteration. You are enthusiastic, have a growth mindset, and are comfortable working with empowered product teams.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop strategies and roadmaps to enhance the Open Application’s portfolio, focusing on integrating AI functionalities with Bentley and third-party products.
- Develop strategies for interactions through the Model Context Protocol between Bentley’s design and engineering applications and embedded copilots and with user-developed generative AI solutions.
- Perform internal and external research to understand developer and user needs, along with industry trends to improve our products and AI strategy.
- Define strategic business outcomes and establish quarterly Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) for aligning development with Bentley's product and technology goals.
- Proactively manage and communicate the OKR and plans with stakeholders, leadership, and senior management transparently.
- Lead discoveries for developing innovative platform capabilities through experimentation to exceed developer and user expectations.
- Work closely with UX designers, developers, and other product team members to execute the Open Applications strategy.
- Monitor the Open Applications performance using Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure ongoing enhancement.
- Build and sustain relationships with teams inside and outside the Open Applications group for relevant capability development.
- A minimum of 8 years of professional experience in product management and development, focusing on developer enablement. PM experience with AI-enhanced products, including generative AI, is highly desirable.
- Track record of managing cross-functional initiatives with a high level of organizational visibility.
- Extensive knowledge of product management practices.
- Proven ability to build and lead high-performing, empowered teams in dynamic environments.
- Advanced degree in Business, Computer Sciences, or a related field.
- Technical proficiency for effective collaboration with engineering teams and defining product specifications.
- Passion for understanding and meeting the needs of developers and internal customers.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and adept at evolving ideas from conception to successful launch.
- Skill in balancing strategic product vision with hands-on operational management.
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of presenting complex concepts and strategies to a diverse audience.
- A solid understanding of digital twin technologies, AI/ML, and familiarity with Bentley Systems’ product portfolio, products, and the competitive landscape are highly advantageous.
