Job Summary

The role of the Project Manager is to manage small to mid-size business projects on time and within budget. In addition, the Project Manager will support the usage of project management, best practices, processes, and procedures. The Project Manager will work closely with peers and mid-level management within the business, steering committees, vendors, consultants, and other key stakeholders to ensure strict compliance with budget and project timelines.

Duration:12-month contract with the possibility of extension

Job Responsibilities

Strategy and Planning

  • Create detailed project plans, including project schedule, resource planning, project monitoring & control activities, resolution processes, communications, risk & issue management, and status reporting.
  • Ensure business requirements are clear and complete.
  • Plan all project deliverables including scope, goals, milestones, key success factors, and changes required.
  • Produce project plans to include scope, stakeholder list, schedule, charter, budget, risk, mandatory documents, missions, goals, tasks and resource requirements.
  • Plan and lead routine to medium complexity projects throughout the entire project lifecycle. Manage project change requests as needed and resolve project issues, dependencies and conflicts and break down project barriers (escalate when required).
  • Define project success criteria and disseminate them to project stakeholders throughout the project life cycle.
  • When appropriate, consult with clients to identify solutions, advise on technical issues, and provide recommendations to management and staff regarding alternative system strategies or solutions. Identify and plan for organizational impacts that will result from the implementation of business solutions.

Operational Management

  • Collaborate with process owners, analysts, consultants, and other experts to manage project tasks. Obtain written acceptance from management and stakeholders of all documents and deliverables as agreed to in the project plan.
  • Maintain a complete library of project documentation.
  • Regularly report project progress to steering committees, executives, project stakeholders and sponsors. Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential risks, and devise contingency plans. Supervise project team members and contractors; influence them to act and accountability for their assigned work.
  • Plan, facilitate or lead meetings with team members, managers, sponsors, or executives Develop partnerships with business leaders in championing the adoption of IS Services as a means of supporting key business priorities.

Project Development and Management

  • Draft and submit budget proposals and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.
  • In collaboration with resource managers, provide input/guidance/feedback on the execution of project tasks assigned to project team members, including task prioritization and resource conflicts.
  • Ensure that all operational support requirements are met and delivered.
  • Be involved in vendor discussions and negotiations to help ensure contractual terms and conditions comply with those of SE Health.
  • Create project closure documents and lead project closure meeting

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Management, Engineering or a related field
  • PMP (Project Management Professional), Agile/Scrum certifications, or other related qualifications.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in in managing large-scale programs, project management, or implementation management.
  • Direct experience implementing digital health systems (clinical information systems, risk management platforms, or other ERPs).
  • Background in healthcare delivery or a regulated health profession to strengthen clinical-technical alignment.
  • Proven ability to manage vendors (in healthcare/digital health industry) through contract, scope, and delivery oversight.
  • Experience in managing projects that involve regulatory, risk, or patient safety implications.
  • Familiarity with budgeting models to better manage financial constraints.
  • Track record of navigating sensitive organizational change in healthcare or public sector.
  • Advanced MS Office Skills (MS Project, Visio, Excel)
  • Leadership by influence (navigating a matrix organization structure)
  • Expertise in managing the full program/project lifecycle, from planning to execution and evaluation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address complex technical issues and implement effective solutions
  • Proven track record of successfully managing, mentoring, and motivating teams.
