This role combines technical expertise with business acumen to transform complex data into actionable insights that shape strategic direction and optimize business performance. This role will also play a key part in enabling self-service analytics by building scalable reporting tools that empower teams to answer their own business questions.
The ideal candidate has a background in business process improvement or optimization initiatives and knowledge of the music industry.

Job Summary

Responsibilities
Business Partnership & Strategic Analysis
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand goals, develop analytical requirements, and translate business questions into data-driven solutions
- Conduct in-depth analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities that drive business improvement and optimization
- Present findings and recommendations to cross-functional teams and senior leadership to influence strategic decisions
- Design, develop, and maintain automated reporting solutions and performance dashboards for key stakeholders
- Create compelling data visualizations that communicate complex insights clearly to diverse audiences
- Ensure data accuracy and reliability across all reporting deliverables
- Implement and promote self-service BI solutions, reducing reliance on ad-hoc reporting
- Perform ad-hoc analysis on large, complex datasets to uncover actionable business insights
- Apply statistical techniques including trend analysis and forecasting to solve business problems
- Transform raw data into compelling narratives that drive organizational understanding and action
Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or related discipline)
- 1 - 3 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or related analytical role
- Advanced SQL proficiency for data discovery, aggregation, and extraction from complex, disparate datasets
- Experience with large-scale cloud data platforms (GCP, AWS, or similar)
- Experience designing data models and semantic layers to support self-service reporting environments
- Proficiency with data visualization tools (Tableau, Looker, Power BI, Google Data Studio) and expert-level Microsoft Excel skills
- Programming experience in R, Python, or similar analytical languages
- Experience with statistical modeling, machine learning, or advanced analytics techniques
- Exceptional analytical thinking with meticulous attention to detail
- Outstanding communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to work across teams and present insights to senior leadership
- Proven ability to work independently, prioritize multiple projects, and make critical decisions autonomously
- $70,000 - $90,000 CAD per year
- The final compensation within this range will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, skills, and overall fit for the role.
