The Toronto Blue Jays are looking for a Senior Manager, Project Management, on a 12-month contract.
The Senior Manager, Project Management is responsible for overseeing the delivery of minor construction, renovation, and project initiatives across all Toronto Blue Jays facilities. This role manages projects from initial planning through successful execution, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with organizational priorities.
You will drive project lifecycles in a collaborative environment, coordinating with internal departments, consultants, contractors, and key stakeholders. Core responsibilities include project planning, budgeting, scheduling, stakeholder communication, and ensuring compliance with applicable codes and organizational standards.

Project Manage Annual Capital Projects
- Act as the primary representative of the Toronto Blue Jays for all capital projects, minor renovations, and building rehabilitation initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and operational requirements.
- Anticipated annual capital spend is 30M +
- Lead projects from inception through completion, including planning, design, execution, and close-out, with a focus on quality, compliance, and timely delivery
- Drive consistent achievement of project objectives, emphasizing process improvement, cost efficiency, and value-added outcomes
- Oversee external partners, including consultants and contractors to ensure all work complies with legislative requirements, project specifications, and approved designs
- Provide regular updates on project status, financial performance, risks, and milestones to senior leadership and key stakeholders, supporting transparency and informed decision-making
- Partner with the Capital Planning Department to support annual planning, prioritization, and alignment with long-term facility strategies
- Design, implement, and manage comprehensive project management processes that support organizational goals and operational priorities across all facilities
- Evaluate existing documentation, workflows, and practices to ensure alignment with business needs, recommending and executing improvements where necessary
- Champion cross-departmental understanding of project management frameworks by communicating processes clearly and fostering consistent engagement and collaboration
- Apply industry best practices, risk assessment methodologies, and performance metrics to strengthen project delivery and operational efficiency
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to streamline workflows, mitigate risks, and enhance overall project outcomes
- Prepare and present monthly executive-level reports that provide clear, actionable insights into project status, financials, risks, and performance indicators
- Model a culture of collaboration and accountability by actively supporting cross-functional teams in achieving project goals, both independently and collectively
- Lead through action by engaging directly in project execution, maintaining a visible presence on-site and working alongside consultants, engineers, and contractors to drive quality and momentum
- Influence outcomes by building meaningful relationships across departments and external partners, aligning diverse perspectives toward shared success
- Stay ahead of industry developments, applying emerging practices and insights to continuously improve project delivery and elevate organizational standards
- Build trust and alignment across all levels of management, internal teams, and external stakeholders, including architects, engineers, consultants, and vendors through consistent, transparent communication
- Facilitate structured engagement through regular meetings and updates, ensuring clarity around project objectives, timelines, challenges, and strategic priorities
- Integrate industry trends and best practices to enhance stakeholder collaboration and optimize project performance across all phases
- Uphold a strong safety culture by reinforcing compliance with safety programs and policies, ensuring all projects meet rigorous standards for safety and operational excellence
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent in work experience
- Minimum of 5 + years of progressively related experience in the field of project management within a medium to large organization(s)
- Must have knowledge of project management, scoping, budget, and scheduling
- Professional designation and/or PMP, would be an asset
- Experience drafting or consulting with legal review of consultant agreements, service agreements and or construction contracts preferred
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight time constraints
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Superior interpersonal and communication skills required
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
- Ability and willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
