We are seeking a Senior Quality Control Automation Engineer to support the design, integration, and implementation of machine vision systems for product inspections. As the QC representative in major automation projects, you will work closely with vendors and the Automation and Design Engineering teams to validate new measurement systems using industry-standard methods. You will also drive QC-related tasks associated with the implementation of new measurement systems and the updating of current systems.

Kardium has listed the total cash compensation range (base salary + 5% RRSP contribution) that we expect to pay applicants for this role, as of the time of this posting. Pay offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, and business or organizational needs. For candidates with more or less experience than listed above, the pay range will be adjusted.
As a permanent employee, you will also participate in Kardium’s stock option plan.
Total cash – the total cash we’ve listed for this position includes a base salary, plus a contribution to a Registered Retirement Savings plans (RRSP) to help support your financial goals.

We are seeking a Senior Quality Control Automation Engineer to support the design, integration, and implementation of machine vision systems for product inspections. Your Responsibilities Will Be To
- Supporting the design, integration, and implementation of machine vision systems for in-process inspections.
- Validating new measurement systems through industry-standard methods such as IQ/OQ/PQ, Measurement System Analysis, etc.
- Organizing reference parts and preparing machine vision training samples.
- Leading the streamlining of incoming inspections and sourcing of new equipment as required.
- Writing technical documentation related to Quality Control processes, such as Quality Control Work Instructions, Standard Operating Procedures, and Quality Control Test Protocols to ensure that any process changes comply with the Kardium Quality Management System.
- Training Quality Control personnel on new measurement methods

You will be successful in this role because you possess these attributes:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Biomedical engineering, Applied Physics, or similar.
- At least 7 years of experience in Manufacturing or Quality engineering role, with relevant exposure to machine vision systems implementation.
- Proven expertise in measurement system validation (Gauge R&R, IQ/OQ/PQ).
- Knowledge of machine vision technologies, image processing, and industrial automation systems (PLC, robotics, sensors).
- Experience with AI / neural networks is preferred.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to interface effectively across multiple functions and at various levels of the organization.
- Ability to lead projects independently and work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.

- $110,000 – 130,000 (CAD Annually)
