Students will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of experiences including our Corporate Speaker Series, Fireside Chats, Volunteer opportunities and Networking events.
Eligibility Note: To qualify for a student (Co-op/Internship) opportunity, students must be enrolled in their academic studies at a post-secondary institution (university/college) and must be returning to school after completion of their work term with QuadReal. If you are a student registered in an official co-op program at your post-secondary institution and completion of a final work term is a mandatory component for you to graduate, you are eligible to apply with the understanding that you will leave QuadReal at the end of your work term or have the possibility to be considered for full-time opportunities.
Based in Vancouver, the Co-op/Intern, Operating Partner Group will report to Vice President, Operating Partner Group, and will support QuadReal in their partnerships with their operating companies. The Co-op/Intern will help execute the Operating Partner Group’s strategic plan by providing analytical support, conducting due diligence on current operating partners and market research to support OPG's future growth.

The expected hourly rate for this role is $28.

- Analyze OpCo financial and operating performance, and risk management and management activities.
- Work collaboratively across QuadReal (i.e., Finance, Portfolio Management, IT, etc.) to manage OpCo performance management dashboard and partner reporting.
- Ad hoc project work, both internally and externally, potentially working directly with our QuadReal’s OpCo partners.
- Preparation of presentation materials for OPG and management teams, and more generally providing regular internal reporting.
- Supporting OPG team members in buildout of OPG infrastructure – populating dashboards, updating financial models, and enhancing internal/external reporting.
- Other OPG activities include exposure to third-party meetings with partners and consultants, reviewing business plans and OpCo valuations, and supporting strategic reviews.
- Working closely with the International Investment team on potential new OpCo opportunities.
- Completing a university degree with a major in Real Estate, Finance, Mathematics/Statistics, Computer Science or Economics. Working towards CFA a plus.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills; detail-oriented and proficient in building and handling complicated data sets.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; demonstrate an ability to effectively communicate and present results that articulate key themes and messages.
- Must be able to allocate time effectively and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines, handle multiple demands and competing priorities, and adapt to new ideas and change. Comfortable following direction but also contributing to the direction.
- Must have advanced knowledge of Excel (VBA a plus); additional computer programming skills considered a plus.
- Must be extremely proactive and work well in a collaborative environment, with the ability to take guidance and then move projects forward independently.

- Previous experience working in an investment management, real estate company, advisory firm, or appraisal firm is desirable. A strong interest in financial markets real estate is essential.
