On the heels of our $122M USD Series D funding, we’re racing ahead with an exciting product roadmap and are looking for a Graphic Designer to support Blue J’s growth. This role will focus on developing and expressing Blue J’s brand identity across digital, print, and experiential channels. It’s an exciting opportunity to bring creativity, precision, and brand personality to a collaborative and growing marketing team.
A Note on Location
This role is primarily remote, with the expectation of occasional in-person meetings at our Toronto office.
The Opportunity
This is a unique opportunity to build and elevate Blue J’s brand presence, bringing creativity and consistency to the future of tax education. The role blends strategic brand stewardship with hands-on design execution, ensuring that creative work drives both awareness and conversion across a variety of channels. From webpages, ads, and event booths to swag, executive presentations, and buyer journey content, the impact of this role will be felt across every touchpoint.
Operating within an agile, fast-paced environment, this position requires balancing brand-building initiatives with conversion-focused design, ensuring consistency while adapting creative to specific objectives. Collaboration is at the core, with close partnership across executives and cross-functional teams to deliver impactful visual content that strengthens Blue J’s presence in the B2B SaaS space.

What You’ll be Doing
- Create, maintain, and evolve Blue J’s brand book and design guidelines to ensure the brand reflects the company’s growth, values, and market position.
- Apply brand standards consistently across all channels, ensuring every touchpoint reflects Blue J’s personality and voice.
- Develop digital and print assets that support Blue J’s marketing and sales efforts, including webpages, digital ads, event booths, and swag.
- Differentiate between brand-awareness campaigns and conversion-driven design, optimizing for both recognition and performance.
- Support executive communications with polished, on-brand presentations, primarily in Google Slides.
- Create visuals that align with the buyer journey, supporting lead generation, nurture campaigns, and customer success.
- Deliver refined executive reports and marketing presentations that are visually compelling and easy to understand.
- Collaborate closely with marketing, product, and executive teams to align creative output with Blue J’s business and growth goals.
- Embrace feedback and contribute to a collaborative design culture that values iteration and continuous improvement.
- Partner with and coordinate outsourced creative agencies to extend design capacity while keeping output aligned with Blue J’s brand direction.
- Ability to produce motion graphics and video assets to enhance Blue J’s storytelling is a valued asset, though not required.
- Prioritize and manage multiple design projects, coordinate timelines with cross-functional teams, and ensure deliverables are completed on schedule and to a high standard.
- 5–7 years of professional design experience, preferably in B2B SaaS.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating experience with brand identity and conversion-driven design.
- Strong proficiency across core design platforms: Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Google Slides, and Canva.
- Experience across UX and UI design, with an understanding of conversion optimization.
- Experience creating buyer journey content, such as whitepapers, guides, case studies, and similar assets.
- Strong project management skills: able to prioritize, manage timelines, and deliver to schedule.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Excellent collaboration skills and openness to feedback.
- Experience with motion/video graphics creation is an asset.
