Property Accountant
MatchBox Consulting Group

MatchBox is searching for a Property Accountant to join an awesome, affordable home developer that’s reshaping how people live across B.C. and beyond. This is your chance to put your Yardi skills to work on meaningful projects while growing your career in a professional, collaborative environment.
Why This Role Stands Out
This isn’t your typical back-office number-crunching gig. You’ll be the financial backbone for a portfolio of income-producing properties and housing co-ops, working directly with property management and leadership teams. Your work will make a real impact on communities people are proud to call home.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare monthly financial statements for assigned properties and co-ops
- Reconcile accounts, inter-company transactions, and month-end reports
- Manage journal entries, adjustments, and variance analyses
- Partner with internal teams and external vendors to keep financials running smoothly
- Support audits, budgets, and year-end reporting
- Be the key point of contact on financial matters for your portfolio
What We’re Looking For
- Relevant post-secondary education in accounting/commerce
- At least 2 years of full-cycle accounting experience in real estate or property management
- Must-have: Hands-on Yardi Voyager experience (non-negotiable)
- Solid Excel skills and a knack for accuracy
- Strong communicator with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines
- Exposure to co-ops, non-market housing, or Sage 300 is a plus
What You’ll Get
- Hybrid work model: 1–2 days at home each week
- Generous benefits package:
- 3 weeks’ vacation
- 20 wellness days
- Extended health/dental/vision coverage
- RRSP contributions
Why Apply?
Because you’ll join a polished, professional finance team that’s big enough (30–40 people) to offer career growth and collaboration, but close-knit enough to make your contributions visible and valued.
If you’ve got Yardi Voyager skills, property accounting chops, and a drive to be part of something bigger than the balance sheet, this is the role for you.
