Community Services Volunteer – Food Bank, Thrift & Program Support

WITH

external opportunities

Whistler Community Services Society (WCSS) provides vital supports to residents of Whistler, including food security programs, mental health services, and affordable access to goods through its community thrift stores. Volunteers are a key part of this work, helping in the food bank, assisting with warehouse and sorting duties, and supporting the operation of the popular Re-Use-It and Re-Build-It thrift shops. These roles directly fund and sustain community programs, while also reducing waste through reuse and recycling. Additional opportunities include lending a hand with events, outreach, and administrative support. Volunteers gain meaningful experience, build strong community connections, and support programs that reach some of Whistler’s most vulnerable residents. By giving their time, WCSS volunteers help ensure the town remains inclusive, resilient, and sustainable.
