external opportunities

OWL is a Delta-based non-profit dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and release of injured, orphaned raptors—such as eagles, hawks, owls, falcons, and vultures. Volunteers are integral to OWL’s mission, taking on roles that range from daily bird care, enclosure maintenance, and landscaping, to participating in rescues/releases and assisting with public outreach, guided tours, classroom programs, and seasonal events like open houses and fundraisers. They emphasize inclusivity—no prior experience is needed—and require volunteers to be at least 15 years old, with updated tetanus vaccination and COVID-19 vaccination. It’s a unique opportunity to work closely with wildlife, gain practical hands-on experience, and support a respected organization known for its public education and environmental stewardship in raptor conservation.
