What you’ll be doing
Are you looking to turn your passion into purpose? York Region Educational Services (YRES) is dedicated to leading community volunteerism as a proud recipient of Canada's Volunteer Award, through providing a wide range of volunteer positions in communities in the Greater Vancouver Area, Greater Toronto Area, Alberta, and Ottawa. We are looking for 30 March Break Camp Volunteers—people who are devoted to giving back to their communities and making an impact.
March Break Camp Volunteers Will Be Responsible For:
► Participating in fun and engaging activities with campers aged 5-12
► Working in a team of 30 with other volunteers to support the curriculum delivery for over 120 campers
► Creating a welcoming environment
► Arriving at camp on time every day and sharing positive energy with everyone

Richmond Hill: Doncrest Public School (To be confirmed)
Richmond Hill: Redstone School (To be confirmed)
Markham: Stonebridge Public School (To be confirmed)
Markham: Milliken Mills Library (To be confirmed)
Markham: Unionville Library (To be confirmed)
Markham: Markham Village Library (To be confirmed)
Markham: Markham Office: 3100 Steeles Avene East

March 16-20, 2026
Shift 1: 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM (half day)
Shift 2: 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM (half day)
Shift 3: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (Full day)

Who We're Looking For:
Minimum age: 12
Able to arrive on-time to the campsite or office location
Passionate about working with children and in education
Complete training before the camp start date
Can commit to at least 20 hours (half day 4-hour shift for 5 days)
Successful Vulnerable Sector check if over 18
Bonus Skills:
Previous experience working with children 5-12 year old
Fluency/high proficiency in a language other than English
