Responsibilities

- Routine scheduled maintenance in accordance with the preventive maintenance program
- Carry out assigned work orders and report daily activities
- Installation and modification work – mechanical, electrical or refrigeration
- Maintenance electrician functions
- Carry out repairs on equipment and buildings not associated with production lines (i.e. cold store equipment, yard lighting, forklifts, trucks, office fittings and facilities, building fabric, etc.
- Follow proper inventory procedures
- Adhere to safety and quality standards
- Keep clean any areas in which work is performed including the workshop and any transit areas to and from the workshop
- The successful applicant will enroll in a Millwright Certification program and complete hours necessary for certification on the job. Additionally, adjustments will be made to work schedules to accommodate the academic and practical requirements of the program.
- Maintain and adhere to the required hygiene, safety and quality standards on the production floor
- Other duties as assigned
- Following a 12 hour day shift continental schedule
- A high school diploma
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Advanced problem-solving abilities
- Computer literacy
- Team player
- Self-motivated and able to take initiative
- Strong communication skills (verbal & written)
- Ability to work independently
