Role Responsibilities
- Perform and coordinate maintenance repair and installation work with fellow mechanics
- Provide assistance to Sales department
- Comply with safety procedures as set out by company policy and Provincial Health and Safety Act
- Participate in weekly job box meetings
- Work in coordination with property managers, designated managers, general contractors, and owners to meet or exceed contractual obligations
- Participate in the training of field personnel as required.
- Assure the application of optimum workmanship and the development and maintaining of good working relationships between colleagues and customers
- Maintain current knowledge of all aspects of elevator technology
- Provide exceptional customer service and communication
- Take ownership of work-related issues
- Participate in the on-call rotation
Role Qualifications
- High School Diploma is required coupled by a minimum of five years’ experience in the elevator industry
- Must be in possession of a valid Mechanic’s License
- Strong mechanical and electrical reasoning and comprehension skills
- Excellent customer service and conflict resolution skills
- A desire to learn, maintain and expand knowledge of all aspects of elevator technology
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Requires ability to read and interpret technical documents and specifications
- Requires demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills with all levels of employees and customers, internal and external
- TAC 32 experience an asset
