Manager, Labour Strategy & Analytics

About Our Team

The Labour Management team is responsible for maintaining and evolving the labour program that supports our stores across the country. We work in close partnership with the Operations team to stay in tune with what’s happening on the ground, ensuring our labour models reflect real-time operational needs and business priorities.

As store processes evolve and new programs are introduced, we adapt and refine our labour strategies to ensure optimal labour allocation across all departments. Our goal is to deploy labour spend effectively while supporting excellent customer service and efficient store operations.

We pride ourselves on building strong, trusted relationships with our partners by delivering high-quality results—and by focusing on how we deliver them. We lead with integrity, collaboration, and a deep commitment to making the right decisions for our customers, colleagues, and the business.

Joining our team means working on high-impact initiatives that directly shape how our stores operate. You’ll gain deep insights into retail operations, contribute to meaningful change, and grow your career—all while being part of a team that values fun, learning, and collaboration.

About The Role

We’re looking for a strategic, detail-oriented, and highly motivated Manager, Labour Strategy & Analytics to help drive key initiatives and operational priorities across the Labour Management team. This role blends analytics, strategy, and project leadership to deliver insights, build business cases, and support enterprise-wide initiatives. You’ll be responsible for developing executive-level materials, leading cross-functional projects, and translating complex data into clear, actionable recommendations that drive both short- and long-term strategy.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives at the intersection of data and strategy, enjoys tackling a wide variety of challenges, and wants to make a meaningful impact on how labour is planned and managed across the business.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead Analytics & Insights: Build and maintain reports, dashboards, and analytical models that assess labour performance and uncover opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop Business Cases: Quantify financial and operational impacts, create contribution analyses, and develop decision-ready business cases for senior leadership.
  • Support Strategic Initiatives: Lead and contribute to high-impact cross-functional projects, from scoping and planning through to execution and measurement.
  • Executive-Level Communication: Create polished presentations and briefing materials that clearly communicate insights, recommendations, and progress to executives.
  • Forecasting & Planning Support: Partner with Finance and Operations to contribute to annual budgeting, forecasting, and initiative tracking.
  • Enable Decision-Making: Provide fact-based analysis and recommendations that inform enterprise priorities and operational strategies.
  • Manage Deliverables: Coordinate outputs and timelines across multiple projects and workstreams to ensure consistency, accuracy, and impact.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance how the team captures, reports, and uses data to drive strategic outcomes.

Who You Are

  • A project leader who can manage multiple deliverables, balance short-term tasks with long-term goals, and keep stakeholders aligned.
  • A strategic thinker with the ability to connect data, insights, and strategy.
  • Analytical and detail-oriented, with a desire to understand how things work and how to make them better.
  • A clear and confident communicator who can engage both technical and executive audiences and translate complex ideas into clear, actionable messages.
  • A trusted team player who thrives on variety, enjoys learning, and embraces ambiguity.

What You Bring

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Strategy, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 2–3 years of experience in strategy, consulting, operations, business analysis, or project management — ideally in a retail or enterprise context.
  • Analytical Skills: Advanced Excel skills required; experience with SQL, Power BI, or other analytics/visualization tools is a strong asset.
  • Strategic Skills: Proven ability to build business cases, synthesize insights, and develop recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Executive Communication: Skilled at preparing clear, compelling presentations and reports for decision-makers.
  • Project & Time Management: Strong ability to structure work, prioritize deliverables, and manage timelines across concurrent initiatives.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable with change, ambiguity, and shifting business priorities.
