How You Will Create An Impact
As Bermuda Hub Claims Manager – Multinational Captive Reinsurance Service Operations, you will work within the Claims and Reinsurance Recoverables team of the Multinational Accounts Department. You will be responsible for supervising a team in the completion of complex account reconciliations, preparation of monthly reports and the resolution and clearance of outstanding balances, as well as completing these tasks directly for the most complex accounts.

How You Will Create An Impact
As Bermuda Hub Claims Manager – Multinational Captive Reinsurance Service Operations, you will work within the Claims and Reinsurance Recoverables team of the Multinational Accounts Department. You will be responsible for supervising a team in the completion of complex account reconciliations, preparation of monthly reports and the resolution and clearance of outstanding balances, as well as completing these tasks directly for the most complex accounts.
- Correspond with clients and reinsurers on outstanding balances
- Reconcile complex intercompany and non-intercompany statements and accounts in accordance with corporate standards and strict deadlines
- Handle full process of reinsurance recoveries on a range of complex accounts
- Maintenance of the account profile
- Monitoring and ensuring completeness of issuance of bills
- Monitoring and preparation of loss escrow adequacy
- Ensuring bill adjustments are cleared correctly
- Preparing stats as needed regarding billing KPIs
- Keeping abreast of major relationship issues on all accounts and intervening in communications where necessary
- Ensuring ad hoc requests (e.g. loss runs, audit requests) are completed and issued promptly
- Managing a team of claims coordinators in all day-to-day, as well as all HR-related issues
- Assisting staff with clearance of problem accounts/issues
- Communicating with clients regarding any of the above tasks
- Training of staff in all aspects of the above tasks
- Review and maintain effective internal controls
- Any other related duties as assigned
- Experience in a multinational insurance/reinsurance environment is required
- Recognized insurance qualification an advantage
- Strong analytical abilities essential, particularly in relation to understanding of reinsurance layerings
- Excellent knowledge of and experience in working with Excel and Outlook
- Ability to find imaginative solutions to complex process issues
- Possess a thorough understanding of the transactional flow of losses through a global insurance network
- Proven experience managing direct reports and training and developing staff
- Must be a motivated individual who is able to work on their own initiative, produce accurate work and meet deadlines in a very demanding work environment
