Position Summary

The Director of Human Resources will lead the company’s people strategy and oversee all HR operations, including talent acquisition, employee relations, total rewards, organizational development, and compliance. Reporting to the CFO, this role supports the creation of a high-performance culture aligned with company values and business objectives. The Director will manage one direct report (an HR Business Partner) and collaborate with leaders across the organization to support growth and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute HR strategy in alignment with company goals and business plans.
  • Oversee talent acquisition, onboarding, and retention strategies to attract top talent.
  • Manage compensation and benefits programs, including group benefits and retirement plans.
  • Lead performance management, employee engagement, and career development initiatives.
  • Partner with leadership to support organizational design, change management, and workforce planning.
  • Ensure compliance with all employment laws and regulations in applicable provinces.
  • Establish and continuously improve HR policies, processes, and systems.
  • Guide and coach managers on employee relations, conflict resolution, and best practices.
  • Provide HR reporting and analytics to support strategic decision-making.
  • Oversee implementation or optimization of HRIS systems and digital tools.
  • Manage the HR budget and vendor relationships.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field; CHRP or CHRL designation preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership.
  • Experience in technology, infrastructure, or data centre sectors is an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of employment legislation across Canadian provinces.
  • Proven ability to build trust, influence leaders, and drive organizational change.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with HRIS systems such as BambooHR, Rippling, or ADP.
