Reporting to the Manager, Master Data, the primary responsibility of the Master Data Specialist is to set up and maintain the company’s Vendor Master Data creation and maintenance in the company’s primary enterprise resource planning systems (NewStar; Yardi). The Master Data Specialist will be responsible for all vendor master data management activities including overseeing the integrity and quality of the vendor master data in all ERPs and ensuring it complies with corporate governances. The role will also assist with user account maintenance in the company’s Expense Reporting tool, SAP Concur.

Education: Post Secondary Diploma/Degree, preferably with an accounting background
Experience: At least 3 years working with Yardi Voyager and/or Constellation NewStar in the area of Master Data an asset. Knowledge of SAP Concur also an asset.

The Master Data Specialist will be responsible for all vendor master data management activities including overseeing the integrity and quality of the vendor master data in all ERPs and ensuring it complies with corporate governances. Here’s How You’ll Contribute
- Maintain all Vendor master data in NewStar and Yardi
- Perform integrity checks on corporate master data to ensure a high quality of master data is maintained
- Ensure all change requests contain the appropriate supporting documentation and comply with corporate requirements before they are implemented into any ERP
- Complete requests for corporate master data in a timely, accurate manner
- Act as the primary point of contact for business questions related to corporate master data
- Develop process documentation and/or training documentation as required
- Assist in the development of data validation techniques to ensure that data integrity and quality is of the highest degree
- Actively participate in the definition and implementation of the corporate master data governance and management processes
- Assist with the creation, maintenance, and disabling of user accounts in SAP Concur

- Proven ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with team members and other departments; this includes excellent communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills
- Strong analytical skills with an attention to detail; this includes evaluating and recommending possible improvements
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
- Demonstrated ability in using MS Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel
