SOOP (Service Opportunities with our Partners) – Short & Long-Term Service Assignments
WITH
external opportunities
MCC’s SOOP program connects Manitobans with both short-term and extended service placements across Canada—from food bank support and soup kitchen duties to farm and home repair work. Tailored for adults 25 and older (individuals or families), these service assignments range from two weeks to two months and include meaningful, hands-on community engagement in line with MCC’s core mission of service. These placements are flexible and relational, offering participants a chance to serve, build community, and grow in understanding. Each volunteer works alongside local partners, receives orientation, and contributes directly to community-based projects—even traveling as part of the experience when applicable.
