INVISTA’s Specialty Industrial Materials Team is currently seeking a Commercial Business Director to lead the North America and Europe commercial teams to expand into new markets, form strategic partnerships, and generate new revenue streams.

Our Team

This position will report to the SIM Commercial Senior Director and will be primarily located at one of our North American offices. Due to collaboration with international teams, schedule flexibility is required. The role expects approximately 25% travel, mainly throughout North America and Europe.

What You Will Do

  • Lead, develop, and inspire a high-performing commercial team for North America and Europe, building a culture centered on talent growth, collaboration, and ownership of results.
  • Drive and manage regional P&L accountability, ensuring achievement of commercial targets, revenue growth, and profitability objectives.
  • Develop and execute innovative business development strategies focused on expanding into new markets, forming strategic partnerships, and generating new revenue streams.
  • Oversee recruitment, hiring, and development of top commercial talent, maintaining a strong, agile, and capable team.
  • Uphold high ethical standards to meet company policies and compliance requirements.
  • Manage and deepen relationships with key accounts, ensuring exceptional client engagement and sustained business growth.


Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Proven ability to hire, develop, and lead high-performing teams with a strong sense of commercial ownership and accountability.
  • Demonstrated experience identifying, capturing, and delivering new business opportunities, with an entrepreneurial and results-driven approach.
  • Strong economic and critical thinking skills, with a focus on commercial success.
  • 3+ years regional business leadership experience with a multinational company.

  • Experience in guiding a team in developing and commercializing innovative products for the automotive market.
