In this exciting role, you’ll split your time between:
- Partnering with a Senior Advisor — providing operational and administrative support, managing client relationships, and overseeing the insurance lifecycle from application through post-issue service.
- Growing your own client base — deepening relationships with existing clients, responding to inquiries, and identifying opportunities for new business within your assigned book of business.
What You Will Do
- Prepare and submit insurance applications, ensuring completeness and accuracy, and manage medicals, policy issuance, and delivery
- Facilitate the underwriting process, including collecting and organizing requirements for advisors
- Maintain and update client records within CRM systems
- Process post-issue client requests (e.g., beneficiary updates, coverage changes, claims, illustrations)
- Respond proactively to inquiries from advisors and clients
- Build strong internal relationships while protecting client confidentiality
- Perform needs-based analysis and strengthen existing client relationships
- Use insurance tools and resources to address immediate client needs
- Ensure adherence to all compliance and regulatory standards
- Support incoming leads by responding to product-related inquiries
- Partner with advisors to meet client service expectations and identify cross-selling opportunities
- Assist with all client service touchpoints—from pre-sale to post-issue support
- 3–5 years’ insurance industry experience
- LLQP certification required; post-secondary education is an asset
- Meets provincial licensing and continuing education requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to manage incoming inquiries
- Deep understanding of life insurance and living benefits products
- Experience using carrier illustration software and application platforms
- Working knowledge of application and underwriting procedures
- Excellent multitasking, prioritization, and time-management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Proven expertise in insurance products, processes, and client servicing
