Business Analyst:

On behalf of our Energy client, Procom is searching for a Business Analyst for a 12-month contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Calgary or Edmonton office.


Business Analyst - Job Description:

Seeking two experienced Business Analysts to lead technology-enabled and data-driven transformational initiatives. The role involves translating stakeholder needs into high-quality deliverables while navigating both business and technical domains.


Business Analyst - Responsibilities:

  • Act as the BA lead, ensuring alignment between business needs, technical constraints, solution design, and delivery timelines.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to identify scope, constraints, dependencies, and integration points across business units, systems, and processes.
  • Facilitate workshops, working sessions, and walkthroughs with SMEs, IT teams, vendors, and project stakeholders.
  • Elicit and document high-level and detailed business requirements that can be prioritized, traced, tested, and delivered in a hybrid model.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to align solution design, validate business expectations, and support UAT.
  • Contribute to and comply with evolving BA governance standards, including peer reviews, standardized templates, and continuous improvement practices.


Business Analyst - Mandatory Skills:

  • Minimum 5+ years of Business Analysis experience across complex, multidisciplinary projects.
  • Proven delivery experience in IT Projects, SaaS, or cloud-based deployments.
  • Experience with Hybrid Delivery, BRD Development, and RTM Management in JIRA, Confluence (or equivalent tools).
  • Process modeling (BPMN 2.0).
  • Data-oriented requirements and governance practices.
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and synthesis skills.


Business Analyst – Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience in the utility, infrastructure, or energy sectors.
  • Familiarity with industry frameworks and/or methodologies such as PMI, P3M3, Value Stream Management, and change/transformation models.
  • CBAP certification is an asset.


Business Analyst – Assignment Length:

This is a 12-month contract position.

Calgary or Edmonton, Alberta, Canada | Hybrid, with a minimum of 3 days in-office.
