Job Title: Project Coordinator
Overview
The Project Coordinator will support the Project Manager throughout the entire project lifecycle, from award to completion. This role is key to maximizing efficiency, ensuring profitability, and maintaining client satisfaction. The Project Coordinator will provide administrative and technical support, coordinate communication between stakeholders, and contribute to the timely and successful delivery of projects.

The Project Coordinator will support the Project Manager throughout the entire project lifecycle, from award to completion. This role is key to maximizing efficiency, ensuring profitability, and maintaining client satisfaction. The Project Coordinator will provide administrative and technical support, coordinate communication between stakeholders, and contribute to the timely and successful delivery of projects.
Responsibilities
- Support the Project Manager and Superintendent in day-to-day project administration.
- Learn and follow company systems, processes, and project delivery methods under the guidance of project leadership.
- Assist with reviewing plans and specifications to provide clear, coordinated interpretations for construction.
- Research and propose solutions for design conflicts, errors, or omissions.
- Liaise with subcontractors to expedite drawings, approvals, and project information.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project logs (RFIs, vendor/subcontractor lists, purchase orders, owner documentation, etc.), track responses, and update the Project Manager and Superintendent accordingly.
- Obtain pricing for RFQs and manage quotations.
- Maintain and update the shop drawing log; review and coordinate shop drawings and submittals.
- Manage submittals and coordinate project close-out documentation, including warranties and O&M manuals.
- Monitor on-site and contract work to ensure compliance with standards, procedures, specifications, and codes.
- Support the creation and maintenance of as-built documents.
- Assist with preparing field change requests and conducting quality control checks as directed.
- Draft drawings and sketches to support construction activities when required.
- Manage document control processes, including RFIs, submittals, agreements, and project expediting lists, in line with company policies.
- Attend project coordination meetings with owners, contractors, architects, and engineers as needed.
- Assist in gathering periodic job-related photographs for project records.
- Proactively expand professional knowledge and skills to enhance personal and team performance.
- Demonstrate potential for growth by developing strong construction management skills and understanding of industry methods.
- Support other departments as needed, including estimating during tender phases, accounting, or office administration.
- Step in to handle Project Manager responsibilities when required.
- Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong determination to successfully support and deliver complex projects.
- Understanding of project management processes, including tendering, scheduling, RFIs, RFQs, change orders, and project close-out.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality, even under tight deadlines.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Problem-solving mindset with a commitment to achieving goals.
- Familiarity with construction methods and practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to obtain CPIC clearance.
