As the Manager, Government Relations, you will contribute to matters in the areas of government relations, project management, and communications and issues management. You will be a key point of contact in developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships in Ontario related to the administration and delivery of existing and new contracts.

This is a full-time, permanent position offering a hybrid work model that blends remote work with planned in-office days. You will be required to visit the Toronto office sporadically.
Primary Accountabilities
- Play a key role in strengthening, promoting, and managing Accerta’s corporate brand by fostering and maintaining long-term partnerships.
- Act as a key point of contact between Accerta and the Ontario government, supporting awareness of Accerta’s offerings, and fostering new partnerships and relationships within the Ontario government.
- Project and account management, including monitoring and reporting on account performance and progress.
- Oversee external corporate reporting requirements related to key provincial contracts.
- Maintain existing client accounts, and generate new accounts through proactive contact and regular follow-ups.
- Coordinate with internal teams to resolve inquiries from ministry partners.
- Gather background material, statistics, and other data to support the team with correspondence, the creation of briefing notes for key meetings and ad hoc presentation materials.
- Work with cross-functional teams across Accerta to support Accerta’s growth.
- Bachelor’s degree in social services, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of government experience, ideally in Ontario.
- Experience working within the social services sector or dental landscape is considered an asset.
- Committed to excellence in project management, customer service and building strong relationships with clients.
- Experience working closely with senior management teams where stakeholder engagement, reputation management, corporate narrative, and brand building are key priorities for the organization.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and prioritizing skills for tracking and reporting.
- Skilled user of the Microsoft Office Suite of products, including CRM.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and an ability to work in a team environment.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- High attention to detail in all areas of work.
- High degree of professionalism and integrity.
