Security & Cloud Analyst:

On behalf of our post-secondary client, Procom is searching for a Security & Cloud Analyst for a 2-month role. This position is a remote position within Canada with an option for on-site work if preferred by the candidate.


Security & Cloud Analyst - Job Description:

The Security & Cloud Analyst will provide temporary cybersecurity and cloud expertise to protect institutional data, monitor threats, and support Azure cloud operations. The role involves deploying, configuring, and managing Microsoft Azure resources, as well as monitoring and responding to security incidents.


Security & Cloud Analyst - Responsibilities:

• Deploy, configure, and manage Microsoft Azure resources (VMs, AD, Sentinel, Defender ATP, Intune).
• Configure MFA, Conditional Access, encryption, and cloud security controls.
• Monitor SIEM (Sentinel) and ATP alerts; investigate and respond to incidents.
• Perform vulnerability assessments and remediation.
• Support firewall (NGFW) management, VPN access, and endpoint security policies.
• Assist ITSO with incident analysis, compliance reporting, and security framework adherence.
• Document security metrics, incident reports, and response playbooks.
  
  
  

Security & Cloud Analyst - Mandatory Skills:

• Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident (bondable).
• 3-5 years of experience in security operations and/or cloud administration.
• Strong hands-on skills in Microsoft Azure administration and security.
• Experience with SIEM monitoring (Sentinel).
• Proficiency in Defender ATP, MFA, and conditional access.
• Proficiency in firewall and VPN administration.
• Incident response and vulnerability management skills.

• PowerShell scripting and automation skills.
• Certifications in Microsoft Azure, Security+, CISSP, firewall vendor.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills.

Security & Cloud Analyst – Assignment Length:

This is a temporary 2-month position with the possibility of extension.

Remote within Canada, with an option for on-site work in Vermilion, Alberta, if preferred by the candidate. Work hours are Monday-Friday, 8:15 AM - 4:30 PM (Mountain Time).
