Job Description

Senior Director, Digital and Social Media

We are seeking an accomplished business leader to guide our strategy and execution for social and digital media initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational growth, fan engagement, and revenue development priorities. The successful candidate will bring a deep background in business strategies for digital and social content, excel in collaborative environments, and have a track record of driving audience development and digital revenue. This critical role will report to the Vice President of Marketing and partner closely with leaders across the company to drive best-in-class performance across all digital platforms.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities

  • Work alongside content leadership to streamline communication and prioritization between Digital Media operations and creative teams.
  • Build and sustain strategic relationships with major external social platforms (such as YouTube, Snapchat, Meta, TikTok, and X), facilitating partnership meetings that enhance collaboration and mutual value.
  • Monitor and assess changes in external digital platforms, communicating their potential impact on the organization’s audience reach and business outcomes.
  • Deliver monthly updates on digital revenue streams and resource allocation, ensuring alignment with the organization’s financial and audience growth targets.
  • Lead collaboration with Corporate Strategy, Global Partnerships, and Content teams to identify and implement third-party partnerships that elevate the digital and social user experience, improve operational efficiencies, unlock new business opportunities, and inspire innovation in digital content delivery.
  • Oversee a recurring monthly review process for all social and digital channels, providing comprehensive analysis of user engagement metrics, inventory trends, and advertising performance to surface challenges, spotlight growth opportunities, and determine action plans.
  • Champion cross-functional teamwork with key internal partners to advance business goals related to social and digital channels.

Qualifications And Experience

  • Demonstrated expertise in managing and delivering strategic initiatives that drive measurable revenue growth.
  • At least 5 years leading high-impact projects with executive-level stakeholders in fast-paced, results-oriented environments.
  • Experience in leading social ecommerce strategy and execution
  • Superior analytical capability, including the ability to design and execute data-driven strategies for measuring, interpreting, and leveraging digital and social media performance.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders internally as well as external partners and clients.
  • A proven background with 5 or more years in senior leadership roles, managing large teams or business units and demonstrating exceptional problem-solving and creative leadership.
  • Thorough knowledge of digital advertising strategies, monetization models for social media (including digital subscription services) and direct to consumer ecommerce practice
