About The Role
The Supervisor, Staff Scheduling is responsible for the supervision and management of the staff scheduling team and ensuring the efficient planning and scheduling of staff resources to meet clinical trial activity needs.

About The Role
The Supervisor, Staff Scheduling is responsible for the supervision and management of the staff scheduling team and ensuring the efficient planning and scheduling of staff resources to meet clinical trial activity needs.
What You’ll Do Here
- Management of the staff scheduling team, including but not limited to, PTO management, timesheet approval, ongoing and yearly performance reviews, employee hiring, disciplinary actions and termination.
- Perform, direct and/or oversee the training of the staff scheduling team.
- Proactively assess learning opportunities for the staff scheduling team.
- Identify and track staffing trends (i.e. absences, punctuality) and report trends accordingly.
- Collect and track scheduling trends and identify process improvement to optimize staffing needs and avoid over staffing.
- Review study protocols and develop scheduling plans based of clinical trial activity needs.
- Ensure and/or review and approve scheduling plans.
- Proactively solve and/or escalate planning and scheduling constraints.
- Maintain and/or ensure a continuous line of communication with clinical operations teams on the progression of clinical trial scheduling.
- Ensure the collaboration of the staff schedulers with training teams to schedule trainees with trainers on clinical activity tasks.
- Act as a liaison to the clinical operations teams.
- Provide clinical trial staffing schedules to clinical operations teams in a time efficient manner.
- May communicate with placement agencies in order to schedule contract employees.
- Track staff availability and schedule staff appropriately.
- Hold meetings to communicate clinical trial needs and/or departmental objectives.
- High School Diploma and related work experience required.
- College or University degree preferred.
- Excellent Communication in French and English.
- 6 months or more experience in staff management/supervision.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Experience in planning schedules an asset.
- The requirement to have study protocols, designs and clinical research documents written and documented in English as required by industry regulatory agencies.
- Full time permanent position
- 37.5 hours a week;
- Hybrid position; 50% remote – 50% from our Montreal Site (1200 Beaumont ( In front of Metro L' Acadie and free parking for employees))
- Must be available on call one (1) weekend out of four (4)
