BEL Contracting, part of Norland Limited, has excelled in civil contracting across Western Canada, focusing on underground utility and road construction. Our expertise spans transportation and infrastructure projects for provincial, municipal, and private clients, ensuring quality through safety, efficiency, and budget adherence. We offer tailored construction solutions, including planning, grading, excavating, culvert and utility installations.

We are searching for a Procurement Administrator to join our team to be responsible for purchase requisitioning, receiving, and billing administration in support of project operations.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure smooth project workflow through coordination and communication between operations and procurement
  • Create or assist with purchase requisitions • Collecting packing slips or other documentation in support of open PO’s
  • Enter packing slip quantities received in LN from Open PO report
  • Create AFP’s against SPO’s
  • Monitor and distribute open PO report at least weekly, with increasing frequency towards month end until close
  • Perform additional duties as assigned in support of the Procurement Team

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Degree or diploma in business preferred, or equivalent work experience
  • At least 1 year of experience in a computerized procurement environment
  • Experience in a construction environment is preferred
  • Proficient with MS Office Software (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Previous experience working with ERP systems is an asset
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
  • Excellent time management, prioritization, multitasking and organizational skills

Compensation:

The role is a permanent, full-time position with a typical salary range of $50,000-$57,000 per annum. The starting salary will be based on the successful candidate’s competencies, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, and experience.
