Maintenance Millwright

The Company: EFS-plastics Inc. is a successful, growing recycling company that recovers plastic from residential recycling programs. Your detergent bottles, milk jugs and plastic bags all end up at EFS, where we turn them into plastic resin pellets that can be used to make new products. We are seeking a skilled and reliable Full-Time Maintenance Millwright to join our team at our plastic recycling facility in Listowel, ON. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing machinery to ensure smooth operation and prevent downtime. Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct mechanical and preventative maintenance on plant machinery and equipment.
• Install, maintain, and repair automated processing equipment.
• Perform troubleshooting, repair and maintenance tasks independently.
• Prepare and update preventative maintenance program.
• Schedule preventative maintenance (PM) for equipment using CCMS software.
• Maintaining the maintenance tools and equipment in safe, clean good working conditions.
• Log parts out of inventory and repot as necessary.
• Communicate and work in a team environment with other maintenance personnel.
• Record observations regarding the condition and reliability of equipment.
• Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Red Seal Millwright License (433A) is preferred.
• Two years of Millwright experience is preferred or similar experience as a foreman or journeyman.
• Hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Highly alert and aware of surroundings, including people, equipment, tools and machinery.
• Experience reading and interpreting design drawings, blueprints, diagrams, and schematics.
• Proficient in assembling machinery, parts and equipment prior to installation.
• Skilled in operating hoisting and lifting devices safely and effectively.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time efficiently.
• Effective communication and leadership abilities.
• A team player with a positive attitude and ability to coach or mentor apprentices.
• Forklift, Aerial Lift/Skyjack, Elevated Work Platform, Telehandler certification is considered an asset.
