Job Function

Reporting into the Sales Director, Energy, the Account Manager will be based out of Alberta, Canada, and will be responsible for managing existing customers, driving new business development, and ensuring seamless logistics and service support for shipments between Canada and the U.S. We are seeking an experienced Account Manager with 3–5 years of background in customer support, logistics, and business development. This role combines traditional account management with technical service responsibilities, warehouse oversight, and cross-border logistics support.

Responsibilities

Customer & Account Management

  • Serve as the primary contact for customers, providing responsive service and support.
  • Manage day-to-day account needs, including technical service inquiries, product troubleshooting, and service follow-up.
  • Develop and strengthen long-term relationships with key accounts.
  • Prepare business proposals, tenders, or quotations for customer projects

Business Development

  • Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities across Western Canada.
  • Support sales initiatives with proposals, pricing discussions, and value-based solutions.
  • Represent the company at customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events.
  • Establish network in the Drilling Fluids and Cementing industry in Canada.

Logistics & Inventory Management

  • Oversee warehouse inventory levels, ensuring product availability and accuracy.
  • Coordinate and book trucks for cross-border shipments (Canada to U.S.).
  • Partner with supply chain and warehouse teams to optimize processes and resolve issues.
  • Ensure compliance with transportation and safety regulations.

Reporting & Communication

  • Maintain accurate account records and sales pipeline updates through CRM/ERP tools.
  • Prepare reports on account activity, inventory status, and business opportunities.
  • Share customer insights with management and collaborate cross-functionally to improve service delivery

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field (preferred).
  • 3–5 years of account management, logistics, or technical service experience.
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and cross-border transportation.
  • Strong technical aptitude to support customer product and service inquiries.
  • Proven ability to balance multiple priorities while maintaining high customer satisfaction.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
  • Skilled in applying problem solving techniques to resolve any complications with customers that may arise.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; CRM/ERP experience a plus.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% within Western Provinces.
