THE ROLE

Perks

- Shift: 7 am- 3:30 pm (Monday to Friday)

- Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on machinery, the building and the equipment
- Using a Lathe to make parts
- Perform welding, grinding, machining, and fabrication as required.
- Determine necessary changes, adjustments, and modifications to obtain desired results from machinery, using OEM specifications, blueprints, sketches, and manuals.
- Ensure plant and equipment is in good order by regular inspection and site audit.
- Assist in the development and implementation of the Safety, Health and Environmental (SH&E) plan for the Hamilton site.
- Working collaboratively with the production team to resolve machine issues.
- Welding MIG and TIG
- Investigate cost effective solutions to plant and machine problems.
- 5 years of maintenance experience working on heavy machinery
- Experience with these 4 machines - stamping press, robotic welding machines, roll forming machines and automation CNC
- Practical knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment, materials, tooling, presses, boilers, controls etc
- Experience with overall building maintenance
- Experience with boilers is nice to have
- Trades accreditation is an asset, or equivalent work experience.
- Drivers License needed
